Prefects play a vital part in the running of Brondesbury College; assisting and supporting both staff and pupils.
The school currently has a team of around 8 prefects split between different Duty Prefects There are different types of roles for each prefect, which is organised by the Head Prefect; Morning Duty Prefects, Lunch Duty Prefects, Corridor Duty Prefects and Salaah Duty Prefects. All of which maintain calm, respect and order throughout the school.
Each of the team has individual responsibilities to take care of on a daily basis. Ranging from: Morning/After school phone collection, ensuring all students attend Salaah, help during break and lunch time by supervising the canteen corridor and queues. Other responsibilities include helping to organise varying fundraising events throughout the year from school charity collections, acting as representatives during school Open days/evenings,· and non-uniform days.
Prefects form together to assist the teachers and to support the younger pupils. They are seen as suitable role models for all our students and are a representation of our school. They monitor all situations and are always alert for any incidents that may occur. Being there to help any students in need, assisting sick students and caring for those that require help.
Overall, the Prefect Team play a very important role in the life of Brondesbury College and all put a lot of effort in to making the schools’ systems run smoothly and are· always open to help other pupils.
