Chess Club
Has been running at Brondesbury college since Sept 2009 and has now been re-launched with many more opportunities.
Chess is not only designed to be a relaxing pastime, but also helps to develop cognitive skills and analytical thinking. It is a game which utilises many skills and helps to build on an individuals level of concentration.
It consists of many different strategies and tactics varying from calculating the right move and combining different sequences.
The Chess Club is run by Mr Dukes during lunch break and is open to all student’s and encourages all to join. Student’s can join to learn how to play, expand on their skills of chess and even take part in our tournaments.
We currently have 2 regional chess champions amongst our younger ks3 student’s and we hope others can emulate their success.
Chess Club: 12.50 - 13.30 Everyday in the English Room.
