School History

Brondesbury College is an Independent Secondary School for boys aged between 11 and 16. We offer a balanced curriculum, encompassing the traditional English curriculum combined with selected Islamic subjects. We regularly achieve extremely high GCSE results and have won National and Regional awards for our work here. Brondesbury College is situated in the beautiful Queen’s Park area and our students benefit greatly from its close proximity.
The main building was originally a residential house when it was first purchased. This building was used to setup Islamia Primary School which began as a kindergarden with around 13 children back in 1983. Islamia Primary school then relocated to a larger premises to cater for the huge demand down on Salusbury Road, to a former grammar school premises. In 1996, Brondesbury College was formed on this site. When it began there was only a single group of pupils and has grown into the oversubscribed school it is today. The college was formed in recognition of the need for the provision of a broad system of educational excellence; one that would meet the demands of parents who want their sons to enter the twenty-first century equipped with the necessary skills and moral qualities to prepare them for tomorrow’s world. The College is managed by Islamia Schools Limited, a registered UK Charity and endowment, under whose auspices Brondesbury College has now officially become one of the top 100 schools in the country.
